Our promise

My Wedding Media (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a female-led wedding film studio serving the San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, San Diego, and destinations worldwide. We believe your story is sacred — and so is your information. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Inquiry details. When you submit an inquiry through our contact or booking forms, we collect your name, email, phone number, wedding date and city, budget range, venues, Instagram handle, vision and story responses, and any inspiration files or moodboard links you share.
• Client portal information. If you become a client, we store the details you submit through your private portal — your story, venues, key people, traditions, and any film delivery preferences — so we can serve you better.
• Usage and analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages and films are most loved, what city visitors are from, and how people find us. This is aggregated and never tied to your name.
• Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) to understand the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel places a cookie on your device and sends a page-view event to Meta when you visit, and a “Lead” event when you submit an inquiry or book a consultation. This helps us show our ads to people who are likely to be interested. Meta may use this information to provide ad performance reports and to optimize our campaigns. • Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard request information (IP address, browser type, device) for security and reliability.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and help you plan your film.
• To schedule consultations and send confirmation and reminder emails.
• To create and deliver your wedding film and share it through your private client portal.
• To send you a personal reply after you inquire, and occasional updates if you ask for them.
• To improve our films, our website, and the experience we offer couples.

We never sell your information. We share limited data with Meta (Facebook) for ad measurement and optimization, as described above, and never for any purpose beyond measuring and improving our own advertising.

Who can see it

Only the My Wedding Media team and trusted service providers we use to run our studio — such as our website hosting, email delivery, and calendar tools — can access the information needed to do their part. Each provider is bound by their own privacy obligations and given access only to what is necessary.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then for a reasonable period in case you reach out again. Client information is kept for the life of your project and our standard archival period, so we can honor your memories and assist with future requests. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Inspiration files

Any photos, videos, or moodboard links you upload with your inquiry are used only to understand your vision. We do not publish them, and we remove them when they are no longer needed unless you become a client and ask us to keep them.

Your choices

• See, correct, or delete your data. Email us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
• Opt out of emails. Every non-essential email includes a way to unsubscribe.
• Cookies. Our site uses minimal cookies for analytics and to keep your portal link working. You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for couples planning their wedding. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Security

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections, access limited to our team, and secure storage with our hosting provider. No method is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your trust.

International visitors

If you visit from outside the United States, your information may be processed here. By using our site, you consent to that transfer. We aim to honor the spirit of privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA for all visitors, regardless of where you are.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our studio grows. We will post the new date above and, for significant changes, note them on this page.
